If you are interested in SUDEP Awareness training please contact us so we can discuss your requirements. At present, we are only currently offering virtual training (via Zoom or Teams) due to a high demand for our services. While SUDEP Action do not normally charge, if your organisation does have a budget to help cover the cost of SUDEP Action staff time for training, then this is appreciated.
SUDEP Awareness training is aimed at non-specialists and is designed to provide an understanding of:
- SUDEP and epilepsy deaths.
- Reducing risk.
- The aftermath of a sudden death in epilepsy – practical steps.
- Resources available on SUDEP.
SUDEP Action has a well-established track record of delivering training on SUDEP Awareness to GPs, nurses, pathologists and professional carers.
Organisations we have delivered training for include:
King’s College London – training session for the Epilepsy MSc
Royal College of Pathologists – training session on sudden unexpected deaths
International League Against Epilepsy – training session on SUDEP to specialist GPs
Young Epilepsy – training session for carers
SUDEP Aware – training for their SUDEP support service; professional training day on SUDEP for non-specialists
