Thank you to our brilliant November and December fundraisers.
Here is what some of you got up to:
Wantage businesswomen Karen Smith, pledged to raise £1,000 for SUDEP Action during 2019, and finished off her fundraising at the local Christmas Market. “I have run a Christmas Fair at the Loyd Lindsay Rooms every year for the last six years. Throughout this year, I have been making efforts to make the Loyd Lindsay Rooms ‘greener’ and environmentally friendly. Therefore, I decided that this year’s theme would be Sustainability. The Fair was very well attended by both stallholders and customers. It was a very successful event with a great atmosphere – despite the weather being miserable that evening.”
Gary Kell braved the cold water in memory of Jake Bezanace. He told us “I did the Redcar Boxing Day Dip for SUDEP Action, as its becoming a charity close to my heart. It was a great event and I hope to do more this year.”
Hannah Corfield helped to host a quiz at The New Inn, in memory of her sister Harriet Corfield. She told us “When my baby sister died of SUDEP, it became my mission in life to raise funds to keep the charity SUDEP Action going - to help others avoid the heartache we have had to go through!
We recently held an online raffle and a quiz night at our favourite public house. We had so many amazing donations and support from family, friends and complete strangers! Thank you!”
Thank you to everyone who helped to raise funds over the festive period.
