National Epilepsy Week 2013

We had a number of activities for National Epilepsy Week 2013 under the theme “the Many Faces of Epilepsy”.  We used National Epilepsy Week 2013 to spread awareness of risk which is a side of epilepsy many people do not know about.

You can still help us spread awareness by sharing and retweeting our posts on Facebook and Twitter.  If you are not following us on Twitter you can do so here Twitter or you can like our new Facebook page.

If you took part in any fundraising or awareness raising activities for National Epilepsy Week 2013 please let us know or send in pictures so we can share them on our Facebook and Twitter.

During the week, our ambassadors raised awareness of risk by giving out SUDEP Action leaflets:

  • Volunteer Ambassadors Ann and Joe were at the Walton Centre in Liverpool on Tuesday 21st May 2013 .
  • Volunteer Ambassador Denise was at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth on Tuesday 21 May 2013.
  • Here is a special report for national epilepsy week 2013, on page 9 Jane Hanna talks of reducing epilepsy risk.
