Three people die each day in this country from epilepsy. 42% of these deaths could potentially be avoided. Behind these statistics are individual stories of heart-break and wasted lives.
Please help us to stop others going through the pain of losing a loved one too young.
Epilepsy Bereaved is committed to preventing SUDEP and other epilepsy deaths and helps to tackle them in three ways:
Supporting bereaved families and helping them through their grief
Funding and conducting research into the causes of SUDEP and other epilepsy-related deaths
Campaigning for change – this work has two strands as follows:
Lobbying policy-makers and health professionals for improvements in epilepsy care to prevent unnecessary deaths
Raising awareness of ways to reduce the risks of epilepsy-related deaths amongst people with Epilepsy Bereaved
Please help us to continue this vital work.
