Support meetings

North West members at the 2010 EB regional meeting

One -Day Regional meetings:

Epilepsy Bereaved meetings are are informal gatherings and planned so that EB members and supporters may come together for mutual support, and are also able to ask questions of, and/or put ideas to representatives of the Charity.

Information about the 2012  regional one day meetings will be posted in due course.

.

National Meeting:

Epilepsy Bereaved runs a weekend event each November to present issues and initiatives of a more national nature thanks to the support of the management and staff at Dunchurch Hotel in Rugby.  The hotel provides a relaxed setting where people can meet and take part in a programme involving the latest research on SUDEP; expert speakers, campaigning and opportunities for people to become active in our work.

The purpose of our national meeting is to bring people affected by an epilepsy related death together to:

- talk about the person you have lost
- help shape the future of the charity
- support each other
- meet others who have been similarly bereaved
- meet the staff and trustees of the charity
- learn strategies to help you in your journey through loss
- take time out to relax
- explore ways in which you can join our cause to help prevent epilepsy deaths

..

You will be well supported by Epilepsy Bereaved staff and Trustees during the weekend.

Staff at the hotel are very supportive of the charity and have previously nominated EB as their ‘charity of the year’ for successive years.
