Epilepsy Bereaved was founded in 1993 as a
self-help group.
It became a charity in 1995 because of an overwhelming lack
of information and action to reduce epilepsy-related deaths.
Epilepsy Bereaved was the first organisation in the UK and
internationally to champion the SUDEP cause and is the leading
organisation worldwide on this issue.
